Sandwell Homes’ Golden Number
As part of a continuing commitment to ‘listen and learn’ from our customers, Sandwell Homes is introducing some major changes that will make it easier than ever to contact us.
From 7th September a single ‘Golden Number’ will be introduced for all customer enquiries. This service will operate from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. The number is 0121 569 6000 (please note that our current out of hours Emergency Numbers will remain the same).
When the number is dialled, callers will be asked to choose from a menu of options as follows:
• Repairs and gas
• Rent account enquiries
• Homelessness enquiries
• General enquiries
Once an option is selected, enquiries will be put through to the relevant specialist team to deal with. If there is a queue, the customer will have the option to request a call back rather than wait. Emails, website enquiries and text messages will also be passed to these teams to deal with.
We will monitor this service closely to ensure that it is delivering on its promises. Customers will be respected and treated with courtesy at all times, and we have put checks in place to protect the confidentiality of all the information we hold.
