Sandwell’s Got Talent is a talent show with a difference. All of the artists have learning disabilities. Changing Our Lives, (a user-led organisation which supports people with learning disabilities to speak up for their rights and take control of their lives is looking for volunteer artistic buddies with talents in the following areas: singing, dance, drama, playing a musical instrument, comedy and visual arts.
All of the artists who make it through the auditions to the final are paired up with an artistic buddy. The buddy supports the artist to get ready for the final. This might be supporting the person to be more confident to perform live or might mean supporting them to develop their talent.
The show will be on 19 November at the Public. Auditions are on 1 October at the Public.
