What is the Sandwell Partnership?
The Sandwell Partnership is Sandwell’s Local Strategic Partnership, sometimes known as the LSP. The Partnership is made up of senior people from Sandwell’s key public, private, community and voluntary organisations.
Sandwell Partnership is a family of many partnerships.
As well as a Stakeholders Board and an Executive Board there are six partnerships that specifically focus on big themes:
Health and Wellbeing, Community Safety, Economic Development and Skills, Housing, Environment, and Children and Young People
Why do we have Sandwell Partnership?
The Partnership is committed to the Transformation of Sandwell, and was set up in 2001, specifically to achieve this by enabling key organisations in Sandwell to effectively work together towards the achievement of a long term vision.
Sandwell Partnership Vision for 2021
Great People: People will choose Sandwell for their home, their job and their leisure
Great Place: An inspiring place, easy to get around, with quality homes, schools, shops and great places to go
Great Prospects: Sandwell will realise its abundant talent and potential through the success of its businesses, schools and communities
How do we go about achieving this?
We produce the sandwell plan, a local plan of action for the long term that describes what needs to be done, and a shorter term plan called the Local Area Agreement with nine priorities and 50 targets. We monitor delivery of the plan, find out if the actions have been successful, and take action to make sure they are.
We work with partners to help their continuous improvement, building on the successful activities and integrating them into their main business, so that services are better placed and more responsive to the needs of the people of Sandwell.
